A few ppl have asked for more info on using a fridge compresssor as an air pump in the past so I thought I’d show y’all my silent compressors to give an idea on how to construct one.
The most important thing is a pressure regulator and cut-out switch to ensure the tank dosn;t over pressurize and burst. these compressors can put out a lot of pressure.
The Tandem SC15’s that i have as a permanent workshop compressor barely become warm when charging the tank from dead flat to 100 PSI, they are rated at roughly 3/4 HP each and have no trouble seating tire beads, spray painting or running a small sand blaster.

Compressor designs can vary wildly but no matter what form, they are very useful and surprisingly powerful.
I used a small domestic fridge compressor, a computer tower case and orted HVAC scrap parts and tubing.
The press fit air line was industrial surplus bought from the local salvage yard.
